Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession through his interest in aviation, so he joined the military and followed that path.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Howlett joined the U.S. Marines in 1960 and retired as a lieutenant colonel on June 30, 1989. He has been with the Marine Corps Reserve Association since the early 1970s and became the vice president for communications two years ago. He is also the trustee of the MCRA Life Membership Trust. His interests were always in aviation and the space program, and he is carrier qualified. He has had articles published in the Marine Corps Gazette and has taught as well. He taught calculus to young Marines in officer training, as well as IT at Fox Valley Technical College. He is a Vietnam War Veteran.

Handling communications for the association; Managing the website and database; Editing the electronic publication e-WORD
