What do you feel separates you from the rest of the professionals in your industry?:
Mr. Rambo brings a unique set of attributes to his position which separates him from his peers. He is able to balance all points of view, and reduce a complicated project or problem to simple terms so all sides can understand the other one's point of view and reach a solution.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
The most most gratifying aspect of his carer is only being outsourced once in 30 years, which was due to a merger.
Expanded Biography:
Mr. Rambo's success can be partly attributed to having two very poor bosses, who set poor examples. He told himself that if he was ever given the opportunity to manage people that he would do just the opposite of their style and it worked.
Two life changing events for him were meeting James Autry, the chief executive officer of Meredith Corporation, in Des Moines, and reading his book and loving it. He also fondly recalls hearing a speech by Dr. Charlene Bell at a crossroads and her telling him to make sure his star and light shined through. In his last 12 years at National Travelers Life Company, he was referred to as the 'user friendly actuary.'

He attributes his success to the support he received from his parents, who instilled in him the motivation to excel. In addition, he credits his twin sister Carole, and his wife, soulmate and best friend Jacque.

He became involved in his profession through a natural progression of opportunities.

Mr. Rambo also manages three senior officers, and takes part in strategic planning, information technology issues and marketing for the company. Some of the most notable moments in his career were that he became the vice president of an insurance company at the age of 28 and obtained his master of business administration at the age of 52.
