He became involved in his profession because he applied in 1982, started out in the work release program, and climbed the ranks to his current position.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Schneider began his career as a correctional officer at The Rap House/Lincoln Park Work Release facilities in 1982, where he provided security/custody and maintained a caseload of special needs inmates. In addition, he worked at the Tacoma Pre-Release for more than 16 years holding positions as a correctional officer, lead officer, sergeant, and temporary community corrections officer.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Working as a perimeter patrol; Watching for escapes and intrusions
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Mr. Schneider hopes to retire and become a professor at the University of Phoenix, teaching criminal justice and history.
