She became involved in her profession because, while trying to move her own family 600-plus miles from Gig Harbor, Wash., in August 2010, she saw the need for an online rental vacancy listing service.

Ms. Hartjoy started her company in April, 2011 after finding that unless you are in the Walla Walla area, driving around looking for signs, or know exactly who to contact, or which website to look up, your rental housing information will be quite limited.

Searching local listings, newspapers and various online venues for rental housing postings; Submitting listings to search engines and as paid premium advertisements
