Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Dawkins started as a nursing assistant, worked as licensed practical nurse for 13 years and returned to school to become a registered nurse. She worked exclusively with the geriatric population in the sub-acute, rehabilitation and assisted living fields. She learned how to enhance the lives of seniors by working with her staff as an educator, mentor and coach, demonstrating discipline, compassion, commitment, teamwork, communication and competence. She loves to build and motivate teams as well as work on quality improvement projects. She has been working as a geriatric nurse specialist, psychiatric nurse specialist, director of nursing services, nursing consultant, staff development coordinator and infection control nurse. She possessed great work ethic, passion, and truly cared for her patients and team members. She is passionate about her caregiver training and spirituality.
