Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Satterfield served as the former director of the Human Sexuality Program at The University of Minnesota from 1978 to 1987. She also served as the medical director of state-operated children's services at Hawthorne Children's Psychiatric Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Satterfield has also worked vigorously with Monadnock Family Services, a non-profit agency that works to serve the mentally ill. MFS offers several types of programs for the mentally ill as well as at-risk youth prevention programming. From counseling families in transition to the treatment of long-term patients of the mental health system, MFS has worked for more than 100 years to inspire hope in the community. Likewise, innovative programming such as a ropes course and an after-school program for teens has helped countless families.
