Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Tindol and her husband, Robert "Austin" Tindol Sr., established A & K Environmental LLC in November 2006. Mr. Tindol has strong mathematical abilities and is an expert on recycling fuel oils, glycols, and other materials. He began his career working with coolant recyclers, and designed and patented a unit, known as the CQC HD, which cleans used antifreeze. After Hurricane Katrina, the Tindols relocated from Mississippi to Virginia, and began working with different companies that are involved in natural gas extraction. The drilling process generates waste streams of triethylene glycol (TEG), and Mr. Tindol has the capacity and the know-how to reclaim TEG in quantity. A & K Environmental then resells the clean product to the gas companies. With Ms. Tindol focusing on the administrative aspects of the business, purchasing, and sales, Mr. Tindol runs the operations and continues to design new glycol equipment and distillation units. The Tindols have also founded two nonprofit organizations for foster children, James 127 Outreach and The Rock Foundation. While the Tindols are currently in the process of adopting two foster children, they continue to work actively to find homes for other foster children, especially those who are older. Ms. Tindol had a kidney transplant in 1978; her kidney was donated by her mother.
