She became involved in her profession when she became interested in the field subsequent to her marriage.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Yurko travels between the United States and Costa Rica every three months to manage the cattle ranch. She was born in Italy and did a lot of traveling when she was young. She went to South Africa and frequently visited the United States, where she eventually met her husband. During his military service, they relocated to Paris. They had two children and again relocated to Panama. Her husband bought the farm in 1973. He then retired from the military and developed the farm into a cattle ranch. While Ms. Yurko considers herself to be a ‘city girl,’ she took over the farm when her husband passed away and continues to run operations today. She plans to sell it in the future. She was also a dental assistant with the American Red Cross and volunteers much of her time to charitable organizations.
