Extended Bio Profile:
Pastor Rogiers is a strong proponent of Christian discipleship and education, and believes that the church’s ultimate purpose is to equip the saints. He further declares that God has equipped him to do what Paul instructed Timothy: “Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long sufferings and teaching” (2 Tim. 4:2 - NKJV). He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior when he was 8 years old and was baptized at St. Paul’s African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Brooklyn, NY. He was an ordained deacon for five years, when he received his call to pulpit ministry. He obtained a license to preach the gospel at Mount Hope Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, Va; where he currently serves as an associate minister and director of men’s ministry. He believes that every believer in Jesus Christ has a dominant spirit gift and is obligated to use it to the glory of God. Pastor Rogiers is a retired U.S. Marine Corps gunnery sergeant and a decorated Desert Storm combat veteran. He served more than 21 years of active duty.
