Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Mackay is a published author and wrote a 46-page pamphlet on Thomas Chalmers, as well as chapters in 'Crown Him Lord of All,' essays on the life and witness of the Free Church of Scotland, and 'A Witness for Christ,' the Presbyterian Church of Eastern Australia 1846–1996. He is also a minister and former Moderator of the General Assembly of the Free Church of Scotland and has served as the Moderator of Synod of the Presbyterian Church of Eastern Australia.

In 1986, he took up the position of Principal of Presbyterian Ladies' College in Melbourne, one of the oldest girls' schools in Australia, with some 1200 pupils. During his twelve years as principle there, the college piloted the Victorian state government's new Certificate of Education prior to its general implementation and introduced the International Baccalaureate for local students who wished to study it and especially for overseas students who came from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Other developments included the setting-up of a childcare and early learning centre, the planning of a facility including a lecture theatre, dining hall and a suite of classrooms, and the construction of an aquatic centre with learners' and high diving pools also available to the public.

Mr. Mackay is the published author as well as a minister and former Moderator of the General Assembly of the Free Church of Scotland and of the Synod of the Presbyterian Church of Eastern Australia.
