Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she sought a way to empower youth to become leaders of the next generation by nurturing their mental, physical and spiritual well-being.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mrs. Jamu and her husband, Styn, established Stepping Stones International to provide orphans and other children with a means to food, education, clothing and other necessities. They are currently working to establish a good relationship with the government and the community in Mochudi. The process, which involves fundraising and expansion into other areas of Botswana, is a dual effort on the part of the couple, who both have interests in social welfare, children's rights and community improvement in Africa. The educational program they have created focuses on career development for the Stepping Stones staff, as well as social activities and education for orphans and vulnerable children.
