Expanded Biography:
I became interested in the profession of athletic training in high school, when my coaches asked me to help in caring for the injured athletes since I did not participate in football. They taught me the proper things to do in providing care for the different injuries. I believe my success is attributed to trying to learn as much as possible about sports injuries and how to prevent and care for them. I have always tried to do the very best I can in my work. Some of the highlights of my career have been working with the athletes at various levels from high school to future Olympic athletes. I have had the pleasure to work at the Olympic Training Center in Squaw Valley with Olympic hopefuls. Working at the 1985 Olympic sports festival as well as caring for high school athletes. Being selected as one of the most distinguished athletic trainers in 1999 by the National Athletic Trainer's Association and being inducted into the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainer's Association Hall of Fame in 2007 are probably my best-recognized highlights.
