Ms. Pakan has taught title one reading in Texas for 13 years and instructed remedial reading for 25 years. She has written two books on genealogy and has traced the path of her deceased husband's family lineage to complete her genealogy research. She is currently writing a follow-up to her first book called 'A People Yearning to Breathe.'
