Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Kanuth has, throughout her 30-year career, presented numerous seminars and workshops at scientific conferences on subjects relating to clinical laboratory science, blood banks and education. She has also attended conferences to further her own education. Dr. Kanuth has served as a peer reviewer for Leukemia and Lymphoma and Kidney International. Since 1997, she has also been the consulting editor for Clinical Laboratory Science. She has authored or co-authored more than three dozen published journal articles and abstracts. In addition, she has maintained a high level of service activity within the academy, first at the University of Louisville, and more recently at The University of Texas Medical Branch. In 2001, Dr. Kanuth was awarded a grant of $41,100 to identify and educate adolescents at risk for Type 2 diabetes.
