She became involved in her profession following her experience in the construction industry during the recession in 1987.

Ms. Scheiern considers the Fort Worth Police Department an exciting place to work. Its diversity, commitment to training and excellence, and the officers in the department are why it is recognized as one of the safest cities in the nation. Law enforcement presents challenges on all levels and her personal motto, 'Endure to the End,' helps her meet all the challenges as they come along.
