Ms. Baldwin-Schechter started taking private music lessons at the age of 11 and continued for 8 years. She also studied art at the Art Instruction Schools, a correspondence school in Minneapolis, Minnesota and before 18, she started painting murals and other commissions. After graduation, she was teaching music at a music school at Bellaire in Texas. She studied private accordion lessons from Bill Palmer, who published lesson books and taught at the University of Houston. She also studied organ lessons from John Peck from Austria. She has performed on live television for children's shows. She studied portraiture from John Howard Sanden and still refers to his lesson book. She also studied portraiture from Tina Soyko and enjoyed a seminar with Windberg and had his complete instruction book. She still refers to the videos of Margaret Seargent and enjoys making porcelain dolls of elderly ladies as they used to look in their twenty's. She had an art gallery for more than 13 years at Franklin in Texas. She has visited the famous art museums of Europe which includes the Louvre Museum in Paris, the Rikes Museum in Switzerland, and other art museums in the Holy Land, Austria, Holland, Venice, Turkey and Egypt.
