Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because of her interest in finance and began her career in the energy industry in 1995.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Landis' career path has equipped her with the knowledge of the day-to-day business, the capacity to write sound business plans, the importance of customer service and product development, the ability to articulate the value created for the organization and to deliver tangible results from the market. She performed energy consulting in Europe from 1998 to 1999 and worked in Japanese Banking from 1990 to 1993. As the 2009 Women’s Energy Network board member for event planning, she is organizing, marketing and hosting material events. The membership drive organized by her had 134 attendees, her July networking event had 163 attendees. She is a well-networked individual in the energy and finance communities due to years of experience working for major energy companies, holding prominent association roles, exercising active involvement in industry groups, and leveraging the LinkedIn network. She is a volunteer instructor for teaching how to use LinkedIn. In 1988 she successfully developed MailBoxes in California. She was profitable within six months. After one and a half years, she pursued a career in commercial banking. Her store was sold in 1995, which was the second largest store behind New York in the number of box holders.
