Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
The most gratifying aspect of her career is having had the privilege of transforming multiple organizations with her unique approach to culture change. By focusing on the habitual patterns that negatively impact an organization, Dr. Rainosek facilitates effective solutions. She helps individuals emotionally connect to their own habitual patterns and to take actions to change the ineffective behaviors. The outcome is improvement in the efficiency of business operations and customer service to both internal and external customers. As she works with the individuals, Dr. Rainosek identifies the organization's habitual patterns, and finds ways to educate the personnel about these behaviors so the behaviors could be changed. Organizational values are clarified, and change occurs as the new values are established. Individuals begin to see the effects of the changes as they value their differences and create a socially just environment, which includes appreciating employees’ differences and recognizing their contributions to the organization. Dr. Rainosek uses a well-researched leadership program, The Leadership Challenge, to address the leadership skills at all levels of the organizations she assists. As a master facilitator of The Leadership Challenge, she integrates the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership: Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable Others to Act and Encourage the Heart. In recent post-program reviews, 90 to 92 percent of one organization's employees believed the training programs were valuable and needed. Participants described how their lives had changed both personally and professionally. Even in one organization where the executive management changed, employees and managers reported that they are continuing to apply these leadership principles. Resistance that existed at the beginning of these programs was eliminated or diminished, since the employees saw the benefits of the culture change.
