She attributes her success to her consistency and desire to help people get what they need.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she always wanted to be a nurse. In addition, her mother wanted to be a nurse; her sister became a nurse; and she married a man whose mother was a nurse. Her mother-in-law encouraged her to go into nursing. After she retired, she entered her profession as a Kyani distributor because she saw the research done and recognized the benefits of the products. She wanted to help people get better. She started her event planning business because she has always enjoyed organizing various events.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Stephens enjoyed a distinguished 45-year career in health care before retiring from her position as a nurse and senior nurse instructor in 2008. Ms. Stephens worked at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She was responsible for educating new nurses, finding and assigning preceptors, giving in-service education, and teaching nurses how to use equipment. She served for 19 years in oncology, after starting in obstetrics, which was her first love. Her first rotation was at County Hospital in Houston, and she stayed there for 20 years, becoming a preceptor, then a unit teacher, and then a nurse educator. Moreover, she taught at San Jacinto College. After 2008, Ms. Stephens started working with brides, doing professional makeup for weddings and helping with the event. She can do intimate parties as small as 10 to affairs with more than 300 people. She is a pearl director for Kyani which is a health and nutritional all natural herbal company. Many of the clients using this product have amazing testimonials about controlling diabetes, weight loss and healthier hearts.
