Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession, after graduating from high school, she began a degree in accounting. Then she got married and since her husband worked for the city, she applied for an entry-level position. She continued her education and public policy became her new love.

Coordinating all voice communications within the police department to include desk telephones and cell phones on the emergency 911 circuits; Consulting; Administrating; Providing resolutions
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Ms. Almendarez intends to complete a dissertation and, after retiring from her full-time position with the city, become an online instructor. She feels that the Internet is a valuable tool and wants to pass that on to her students.
