Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession as she has maintained a genuine interest in the sciences and taking care of people, which led to her resignation from an established position in the business world in order to pursue a career in healthcare at the age of 28.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Nation-Graves volunteered as an emergency medical technician on a community-operated ambulance before entering the nursing field. She was prompted to join the healthcare industry because she was impressed with the spirit of service, and thought it cool to be a help. She attributes her success to her adaptability to the ever-changing needs of the profession, the flexibility of the field and its openness to new ideas. She is passionate about serving the health needs of the patients. She considers her greatest professional accomplishment to date becoming a Lay Chaplain. Her personal philosophy is to 'never feel sorry for yourself, because there is always someone worse off than you.' She informs those aspiring to enter into the profession that it takes hard work to not only get there, but stay there. To the committed, they will discover that is was worth every minute of work, and that it is the hardest job one will ever love.
