He attributes his success to his religion, his faith in God, and the time he spent in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he learned discipline and never to give up or give in. Also, he credits the strong support of his wife.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession after working in a factory and joining the U.S. Marine Corps. He was able to attend school through the GI Bill, and then decided to pursue a career in the insurance field; he already had a few contacts in the industry. He became involved in the banking field through a friend in the industry. He was asked to join the advisory committee of one bank and was later recruited to the board of another bank.

Mr. Crosswhite retired from Farm Bureau Insurance as one of the agency's leading insurance agents. He always ranked in the top 10 in sales, and he wrote two percent of its total business. He has always prided himself on his honesty and concern for treating people properly. He hopes to pass his knowledge on to his two grandsons. He tells them that success is when opportunity meets preparation. If one is unprepared when an opportunity presents itself, it will be difficult to handle. He encourages his grandsons to "be ready."
