What do you feel separates you from the rest of the professionals in your industry?:
I feel what separates me from others in my industry is that I am determined to make legal nurse consulting common in my area. Most attorneys here weren't aware that the LNC even existed. I am introducing the profession to attorneys who are not certain of what I do. I take the time to teach each attorney what I can do to make their medical cases easier to understand, argue and win. I am very confident and am not a bit hesitant to be persistent of the 'non-believers.'
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
My greatest achievement in my career is being the first and only medical-legal consulting firm in my city. I took a leap of faith and opened my business knowing that it would be a lot of work and time, not to mention expensive. Now, more attorneys ask for help and know that there is someone to help with the medical jargon, routines, and so forth.
Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
The highlight of her career was being the first woman to open a legal nurse consulting agency in Johnson City.

She became involved in her profession because she was always interested in law, had a degree in nursing, and decided to combine the two to start a medical-legal consulting firm.
