Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession because he had been communicating with the company since 2004, when he worked with the Berchtold Corporation, a medical device company. Metalworx was the company’s largest vendor. The owner of Metalworx had approached him before with different opportunities, and he was offered this job setting up procedures and process improvements. He enjoyed improving internal processes. He had been in quality assurance and new product development, and wanted to become more responsible on the business side.

Mr. Oldham has worked in the field of manufacturing for 20 years. He started his career after college at Emerson Electric Co. as a manufacturing engineer. Mr. Oldham has learned about every area of manufacturing and now works in business development. He has been with Metalworx, Inc., for two-and-a-half months, but has been sought after by the company for years, due to his diverse experience in manufacturing. Mr. Oldham once worked for Environmental Express as the director of new product development and quality assurance; he was with this company for four-and-a-half years.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Overseeing sales, marketing, website development and networking; Assessing machine needs; Selling to OEMs, such as medical device companies and machinery builders; Working with a team of outside salespeople and an inside full-time estimator and quoter; Prospecting calls on customers; Presenting proposals with formal quotes after needs assessments have been completed

In five years, Mr. Oldham hopes to grow Metalworx, Inc., and become the general manager. He intends to work with all functions of Metalworx.
