He became involved in his profession after establishing and owning Ladybug, a chain of 90 women's apparel stores; in 1986, he sold his business and allocated the funds to create his investment group.

Mr. Sigal owns a 125,000-square-feet office building and employs individuals to continue his business. During his career, he developed bar codes, swiping machines and electronic cash registers. He also created a software program for IBM that enabled computers to read store cash registers at 11 p.m. each night.
