The highlight of her career was showing a display of Halloween soaps - black soaps with plastic skeletons inside- that really caught the eye of the younger shoppers. One little boy, about 6 yrs old wanted to buy some soaps. His Mom questioned him and suggested he would prefer to spend his money on edible snacks. After a few minutes of this discussion, the young boy looked at his mother and said, "Aren't you the one always telling me to wash my hands? Mom let him buy the soaps. He shared his 'find' with friends and before the night was over she was sold out!

She attributes her success to her ability to translate a customer's wants into a product they will love; providing a natural product that is affordable; meeting a customer's needs as to specific products for a specific occasion (i.e. Ice cream and pickle soaps for a baby shower)
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession as a hobby. Making soaps and gift baskets for friends and family gave her great pleasure, and comments from recipients was extremely positive. She was repeatedly asked, "Do you sell this?" She took the hint and in 2007, Plum Creek Soaps was born.

She is a former environmental educator striving to produce eco-friendly products that may require formula changes or repackaging over time. Products are NOT, and will never be, tested on animals. However, she will continue to test on willing family members and friends whose feedback has resulted in a variety of one-of-a-kind products.
Products are clearly labeled for those with allergies and skin sensitivity.
