Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Young was prompted to join the healthcare profession through her family's influence. She is very passionate about her family and enjoys traveling to visit them. When the time cannot be made, she is content with hanging out with her dog. Sometimes in life, all one needs is a being that can listen and watch as one speaks, not necessarily a human. After all, “Reality sucks,” as Ms. Young so bluntly puts it. She half-jokingly beckons to the world “Give me back my delusions and fantasies.” To many, ignorance is bliss, and knowledge of the real world can become a burden that people regret carrying. One must be mindful that people’s perceptions will not change reality, but simply color it. She was inspired by her younger brother, who remained courageous despite always being sick while growing up. She would like to dedicate this recognition to her son and colleagues.
