The highlight of her career was when her organization was able to, after many years of lobbying, achieve legislative changes at the national and provincial levels to help beef farmers in Canada become more profitable through numerous methods. She contributed by drawing the public’s attention to the crisis in the sector.

Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because of her love for animals, agriculture, communications, writing, and the fact that there is never a shortage of challenges in the agriculture industry.
Extended Bio Profile:
While studying at the University of Guelph, she spent summers and weekends gaining working knowledge of the poultry and feed industries. Tasks included feed mill assistant, laboratory technician, field technician and other related positions. She also worked extensively in equine research.
