If she could have lunch with anyone, Ms. Galloway would choose to dine with her mother, father and great-great-great-grandfather; she would love to be able to ask them about their lives and questions she was not able to ask when she was younger.

She became involved in her profession because she had an interest in working with children and books and wanted to continue in the family trade that originated with her great-great-great-grandfather, the first teacher of the deaf in the United States.
