Dr. Ashbolt has received a grant of 4.5 million dollars in 2007. He has worked as a professor and head of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. He has published 27 book chapters and 105 journal papers. He has attended over 100 conference proceedings and has also received 68 international invitations from various government agencies and universities.
