The highlights of her career were receiving the Commonwealth Media Award, delivering a lecture at Yale University at the Yale Center for International and Area Studies on Caribbean integration and representing Trinidad and Tobago at the United Nations Conference on Crime and Poverty in Latin American Countries and the Caribbean held at Notre Dame University and at the Conference of Journalists of the World, Santo Domingo.

Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in the profession after working as a journalist for the three daily newspapers in Trinidad and Tobago, Daily Express, Trinidad Guardian and Newsday.

She works through the Commonwealth Press Union to protect the vulnerability of small island states. She is currently working on three novels, one is non-fiction, one fantasy and one historical.
