Mr. Rivera-Viruet wrote a book on the history of the contributions made by Hispanics to the Hollywood film industry that took 25 years to research and finally got published and received critical acclaim.

He attributes his success to his self-motivation.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession because he used to play the trumpet as a child, but had an accident that prevented him from continuing. He wanted to stay in the entertainment industry, so from the business of show business, he branched out into music production, film, television and animation production, sales and marketing and author and documentary filmmaker.
