Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
The highlight of her career was when she met a young female patient who complained of numerous symptoms, had been to multiple specialists, but had no diagnosis. She ordered a CAT scan and MRI of the brain. A neurosurgeon diagnosed her brain tumor and surgically excised it, saving her life.

She attributes her success to her grandmother Annie who raised her with endless unconditional love; devoting her life to teaching and mentoring her. Annie's efforts coupled with her determination and perseverance are responsible for her success.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession In 1989, when she received a NYS Regents nursing scholarship, yet wasn't sure about nursing. During the first semester in college she was involved in a life-threatening automobile accident and hospitalized for seven weeks. That's when she had an epiphany; to turn her awful auto accident into a learning experience, use her scholarship, and positively affect many lives as a nurse and mentor.
