What do you feel separates you from the rest of the professionals in your industry?:
Ms. Washington Morales' ability to give her patients her all and treat them as she would want to be treated, in addition to being a perfectionist when it comes to her nursing work, is what separates her from her peers.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
The most gratifying aspects of her career are that she has worked efficiently in every department of nursing while advising young teenagers at her school. She had the opportunity to work with doctors who had confidence in her, and let others know it. In the school setting, she served as an advisor, friend and confidant to young teenagers and also spoke with their parents and saw many of them change their behavior to become a better person.
If you could solve one problem in the world today, what would it be?:
Ms. Washington Morales would like to bring the elderly women of Costa Rica out of their homes and give them a reason to live again.
Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
The highlights of her career were working for 10 years in the operating room in the United States and then moving on to private duty in hospitals and homes.

She attributes her success to her determination and love for her profession, combined with striving to be the best nurse she can be, even against the odds. She cares for her patients with trust, compassion, patience and responsibility, the same way the she would like to be treated in return.

She became involved in her profession through her childhood desire to work in the healthcare field.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Washington Morales was an operating and emergency room nurse from 1968 to 1972. She was also a private duty nurse for 20 years, floor nurse and a supervisor for school private duties and correctional facilities. She had wanted to become a doctor since she was 14 years old after having witnessed a dispensary on the plantation. Later, she went to nursing school as she could not attend the university because there was no medical school in the country.
