She attributes her success to her upbringing, passion for her profession, and great-grandmother and grandmother for having a huge impact on her values.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because of her passion to become a nurse since childhood.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Martinez has completed four years and five months as a unit director in a rehabilitation and health care center. She recently received a promotion to unit director of a high-paced sub acute ventilator and track 80-bed unit. She has worked in health care for almost 40 years, dedicating 27 of these years to long-term care and geriatrics. At Morningside House Nursing Home, she introduced doll and music therapy to the dementia unit.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Supervising RNs, LPNs CNAs on all tours; Collaborating with off-tour supervisors; Meeting and discussing patient-care planning with the interdisciplinary care team and families every week and/or as needed; Collaborating with the Recreational Therapy Department and MDS 3.0 documentation
