Ms. Zayas is a professional musician. She has had a private piano studio for 25 years and is currently on the music faculty of the Sachem Central School District on Long Island. Her career highlights include: Performing at the memorial service for Duke Ellington in New York City, solo recitals at Trinity Church and St. Stephen's Church in New York City, performances at music festivals on Long Island such as the Beethoven Festival at Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay, the Islip Arts Council concert series at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum, and at Dowling College. She was also a Musical Director at the Gateway Playhouse in Bellport, NY and a pianist for the Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham, Dance Theater of Harlem Companies.
