Mr. Castleman started playing in concert when he was 4 years-old and has been in his profession for more than 40 years and with the Quartet Program for 40 years. He serves on various advisory committees with numerous summer programs. He is perhaps the world’s most active performer and pedagogue on the violin, he has been a soloist with the orchestras of Philadelphia, Boston, Brisbane, Chicago, Hong Kong, Moscow, Mexico City, New York, San Francisco, Seoul and Shanghai. He is also a medalist at Tchaikovsky and Brussels, his Jongen Concerto is included in a CD set of the 17 best prize-winning performances of the Brussels competition’s since the last 50 years.
