She attributes her success to the inspiration she gains from the children and her love for her work.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she observed the work of occupational therapists after her grandmother suffered from a fall. She saw her grandmother resume the activities that she loved, and she was inspired to go into occupational therapy as a career.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Working with students who have had difficulties accessing educational programs, as well as those with focus, sensory input and motion issues; Developing and implementing plans to help maximize each child's education; Leading children in exercises; Recommending equipment; Working with the central core; Handling paperwork to ensure compliance with federal and state agencies; Conferring with teachers
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Ms. Koshofer will work to adapt to the changes and challenges posed by budgetary cuts within the school system. She will continue to improve service delivery in order to make up for the personnel losses of budgetary constraints.
