The highlight of her career was being was approached by a woman of minority descent who desired to borrow $50,000 to start a day care center. Instead, she worked with her to develop a business plan and realize her ultimate dream day care over 14 months, and was able to help her apply for grants and other funds to fund a $2.1 million dollar project for her, now the largest private day care and nursery school in Washoe County.

What Does He/She Attribute Success To:
She attributes her success to being involved in her community and being gray haired; looking like a seasoned professional. She also credits learning from the challenges and obstacles she faced following the death of her husband in 2008, which also taught her the importance of succession business planning.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because of an experience at CitiBank in Seattle Washington at the age of 10. She was so impressed by the building and the people and how her father was treated, she wanted to be a part of that.
