Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
You could probably create a highlight reel since I made the switch to technology from finance. From a personal perspective I was able to turnaround my own company from the brink of failure after the collapse of WorldCom. I was able to lead the troops through the chaos of uncertainty and almost complete failure into profitability and a strong EVA momentum. I then sold the books (for a fantastic gain) and dissolved the company. I was able to pay back all of my investors with a handsome yield plus take care of my employees.
Charity:
Children International, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
Number Of Years In Profession:
15
What Does He/She Attribute Success To:
He attributes his success to his ability to listen and his time management skills.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
I was working in the financial industry and technology was a hobby with the birth of the internet in 1993. I was persuaded to jump ship and go into technology. I am certainly glad that I did.
Extended Bio Profile:
Since I made the switch from finance to technology I have been lucky enough to work with cloud/on-demand social/communications technology start-ups. I am now working with my 6th since the 1990s.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
My role is to sell the company first. Then; business development, mergers & acquisitions, VIPs-Value Integrated Partnerships, corporate strategy and possibly Venture Capital/Private Equity.
Education Certifications:
Executive Management Certificate - Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years professionally; I expect to be in more of a "cloud start-up" consulting role and semi retired. Personally; I expect to be playing more golf and enjoying my family at home.
