Ms. Sanchez assisted the University of New Mexico Police Department in its philanthropic work for the United States Army. She collects cell phones to trade them for phone calling cards to send to soldiers overseas. She is proud to contribute her skills to Albuquerque, a place where the well-being of current and future citizens is supported by a vibrant economy and a self-renewing, healthy environment, and feels this is a true reflection of sustainability. In practice, this means day-to-day recognition that economy, society, and environment are interconnected, and that Albuquerque must demonstrate leadership by making wise and innovative choices to ensure Albuquerque is a sustainable community.
