He became involved in his profession after spending the summer before law school, working with his father who was a pediatrician in a Third World country; he fell in love and decided to become a doctor instead of a lawyer.

Dr. Baker is also the chief pediatric officer of Bergen County, N.J. Additionally, he an attending physician of pediatrics at Hackensack University Medical Center and teaches medical students and pediatric residents at UMDNJ.
