The honor the school received as a National Blue Ribbon school in 2009. They were nationally recognized as having improved test scores.They were the only school in Hudson County.

He became involved in his profession through his experience as a social worker. He interned in New Brunswick, N.J. and after years of experience as a social worker and supervisor, he became a school principal.
