Mr. Garrett is a retired art teacher and has taught art and photography for 35 years. His works have been published in Airbrushed magazine in 1994, 1997, 1998 and 2000. He received the Outstanding Secondary Teacher Award on behalf of Princeton University in 1996 from former president Bill Clinton. He currently offers consulting services for children with special needs as well as for former students and their families on educational issues. He has three grandchildren named Jackson, Thomas and Sarah.
