She became involved in her profession through a natural progression of opportunities, after retiring from her position with the Enforcement Unit of the Department of Banking & Insurance in the state of New Jersey, a position she held for more than 25 years.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Turner has spent more than 25 years in the field of insurance regulation, and has received numerous certificates and awards in recognition of her excellence in the field. She is an executive protection specialist with extensive supervisory experience in investigations and market conduct exams. She recently established Turner Investigations & Associates LLC so that she could share her professional expertise as a consultant to insurance companies, insurance agents and bail bond agencies that need guidance on regulatory and statutory compliance. An organizer, facilitator, and project developer by nature, Ms. Turner serves as a speaker, trainer, and event coordinator for various organizations in the U.S. and Uganda. An active entrepreneur, volunteer, activist, administrator and minister, Ms. Turner has founded two nonprofit organizations and is affiliated with several others. As an entrepreneur, she not only operates Turner Investigations, but also sells life insurance, final expense insurance for seniors, health insurance and annuities. As a volunteer, she regularly contributes her time and efforts at various soup kitchens, local agencies that assist the homeless, women's shelters, and children's refugee locations. She is active in her church as a volunteer job placement coordinator and member of the ministerial staff; in addition, she formerly served as director of administration and president of the women's ministry. The two nonprofit organizations of which Ms. Turner is founder and chief executive officer are A Heart for Africa Ministries and the Matthew S. Turner Foundation, Inc. Through A Heart for Africa, she provides clothes, shoes, sandals, school supplies, Bibles, and Sunday school materials to disadvantaged people in Uganda and other African countries. The organization is also designed to aid in building orphanages in extremely deprived villages. Ms. Turner has two grown sons of whom she is extremely proud, as well as wonderful and loving relationships with her two daughters-in-law. She cherishes her six beautiful grandchildren, is committed to ministering the word of God, and continually strives to express her love and compassion for all people.
