Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession in 2002, when his 10-year-old adopted son, David, asked him about a character named Jack that he had made up. Jack was a main character in stories that Mr. Parker used to tell David when he
was 4-years old. Then inspired him to get started on a career path that was so fun that he couldn't stop.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Parker is a retired professional engineer. He believes young people need to be aware of adventure and writing, and bring adventure to where they can learn about engineering and the principles of life. He writes for a young audience and sets out to thrill them with the antics of his mostly youthful characters. The happenings surrounding the characters of his first two books were written from the perspective of youths. He has authored two books, "The Crow's Nest," in 2007 and "Fireside Stories," in 2006. His third book "Papua 1942-43 is now published.
