She attributes her success to her solid upbringing and understanding value of hard work at a young age.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession after starting her career in internal medicine. As the insurance forces began to dictate the amount of time physicians spent with patients in the late 1990s, she felt that she could no longer provide the quality of care that she promised her patients and decided that she was not going to practice medicine this way. She was soon approached by a recruiter to open a vein care clinic in North Carolina; what began as a temporary position soon grew into a new passion and career.
