Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by the occupational therapist who took care of her family when they were in hospital, and her own treatment by an occupational therapist following an injury she sustained while serving in the United States Navy.
Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Childers-Teeple has developed, designed and built a 'Labor-Free Mechanical Gate' for individuals with physical limitations to continue farming without the need of assistance for transfers. She worked as an office manager from 1990 to 1993, laborer in 1994, and as a professional occupational therapist of the hand and upper extremities from 2001 to 2003.
