Mr. Hamilton has published two books entitled 'Literatura Africana' and 'Literatura Necessária,' Volume I in 1981 and Volume II in 1984. He has authored chapters including 'African Literature in Portuguese' in the book entitled 'A History of Twentieth-Century African Literatures' published by University of Nebraska Press in 1993, 'On the Way to the Professoriate: The Dissertation' in the book entitled 'Preparing Faculty for the New Conceptions of Scholarship' in 1993, 'Resetting the Sights: Class, Race and Authorship in Angola' in the book entitled 'Marxism and African Literature' published by African Wood Press, Inc. in 1985 and 'The Contemporary Brazilian Short Story' in the book entitled 'To Find Something New' published by Washington State University Press in 1969. He is the guest editor of the chapter 'Lusophone African and Afro-Brazilian Literatures' published in the book entitled 'Research in African Literatures'.
