That she is a late bloomer, but she did stand for her dreams and goals. She went above and beyond and she also mentored the students.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
Her greatest career achievement was going back to school to get a degree.
How would you like to be remembered by your peers?:
That she was always somebody who was helpful and who really cared about them. The funniest thing that she can remember was one of the customers dropped his pants and asked her if he had poison ivy!
If you could solve one problem in the world today, what would it be?:
She would solve hunger and in underprivileged countries. All over the world.
If you could have lunch with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?:
If she could have lunch with anyone it would be Steve Jobs. He is amazing. She is so anxiously awaiting her Apple iPad. She just admires him and she is so amazed at everything he has created.

She became involved in her profession because of her educational background.

Mrs. Gaukel raised six children before obtaining a bachelor's degree and becoming a licensed pharmacist in four states. She also mentored first-year and older students in the University of Minnesota's pharmacy program.
